The Parliament has approved the government’s proposal to abolish job alternation leave from August 1, 2024. Therefore, new job alternation leaves cannot be started from August 1, 2024, but the legislative change will not affect job alternation leaves that started before this date.

It is still possible to start job alternation leave under the current conditions if the first day of the job alternation leave is no later than July 31, 2024. For the job alternation leave to be considered to have started on July 31, 2024, the job alternation agreement must be submitted to the TE Office no later than July 31, 2024. Additionally, the substitute’s employment contract must begin no later than July 31, 2024.
