Instructions for a follow-up application?

In this article, we provide guidance on how to fill out the follow-up application

Below is a quick instruction for completing the follow-up application. In the first example, the applicant is completely unemployed throughout the application period. In the second example, the applicant has working hours for part-time or occasional work during the application period.

Example 1: No working hours during the application period

  1. Press Apply earnings-related allowance in Openetti’s frontpage
  2. Check the application period. Change the dates if necessary by ckicking Edit application period.
  3. During the application period I have been mainly : Choose Unemployed.
  4. Press continue.
  5. The calendar section opens. If you have reported that you have been completely unemployed, the calendar section is marked as completely unemployed every day.
  6. Press finish
  7. If the system directs you to fill the section: Report a reason for break between the applications, answer the question. Always report a reason for breaks in the application. The system will not allow you to submit an application without an explanation for the missed time. The time between your applications has to be complete. Select reason for break from the drop-down menu and also put the correct dates.
  8. The application guides you to the ‘Pay Day’ section. Please indicate if during the application period there is a payment date for part-time work, occasional work, or for example, compensation received from light entrepreneurship, or provide an estimate of a possible future payment date. Also, for both full-time and part-time work, please specify any existing or upcoming payment dates for holiday compensation during the application period.
  9. Also check sections Pensions and benefits, Entrepreneurial activity and Light Entrepreneurship, Child Information and Contact Information. Edit if needed. In the Additional Information section, you can write additional information about your situation or application.
  10. Please sign and approve.

Example 2: Working hours during the application period

  1. Press Apply earnings-related allowance in Openetti’s frontpage.
  2. Check the application period. Change the dates if necessary by ckicking Edit application period.
  3. During the application period, I have mainly been: Unemployed. Select this option, even though there are also working hours during the application period. There are also other options to choose from (e.g. sick, paid annual leave, TE service, etc.). Choose the right option for your situation.
  4. Press continue
  5. Besides, I have been (you can choose multiple options): select ‘Employed’ -> Opens the Employers box. Break down the employers into separate rows. You can add rows by clicking on the blue plus sign. Also, select any other suitable options that apply to your situation.
  6. The calendar section opens on the screen. For each employer, report the working hours separately at the date of work (e.g. 3h 30min). Finally, verify that the hours are marked correctly.
  7. Press finish.
  8. The application guides you to the ‘Pay Day’ section. Please indicate if during the application period there is a payment date for part-time work, occasional work, or for example, compensation received from light entrepreneurship, or provide an estimate of a possible future payment date.
