The Government has submitted a proposal to abolish job alternation leave
According to the proposal, the job alternation leave system would be abolished as of 1.8.2024
The Government has now submitted its proposal to Parliament on ending job alternation leave. According to the proposal, the job alternation leave system would be abolished on 1.8.2024.
However, there would still be time to start job alternation leave under the current conditions if it starts no later than 31.7.2024. In order for job alternation leave to be considered to have started no later than 31.7.2024, the job alternation agreement should be delivered to the TE Office no later than 31.7.2024. In addition, the substitute’s employment contract should begin no later than 31.7.2024.
The legislative amendment would not affect job alternation leaves that have already begun.
Please note that these changes are not yet in force and may change during the parliamentary process. We will provide more information on the matter as the parliamentary process progresses.
