TE-services are being renewed

In the reform, TE-services will be transferred to employment areas formed by municipalities on January 1, 2025

On 1 January 2025, employment and economic development services and integration services will be trasferred from central government to employment areas formed by municipalities. At the same time, the employment and economic development offices (TE-offices), will be abolished.

The aim of the reform is to support faster employment by placing employment services, municipal education services, and business services under the responsability of the same organizer.

The change will not require any actions from individual clients, as customer information will automatically transfer to the employment services of their own municipality. Job-search matters can still be managed on Job Market Finland and online services. For example, registering as an unemployed jobseeker is done in the Job Market’s E-services.

The reform will not impact the application or payment of the daily allowance, so members of our fund can continue to apply for it as usual, even after the reform.
