Benefits
linked to the national pensions index will be raised by 2,1 %. in the year 2022.
This affects the value of basic unemployment allowance and as well as the
earnings-related unemployment allowance. The basic unemployment allowance will
increase to 34,50 EUR per day (from EUR 33,78 in 2021).

The child
increase for one child will rise to EUR 5.41, the increase for two children to
EUR 7.95 and the increase for at least three children to EUR 10.25. The
increase will take effect on 1 January 2022.

When basic
unemployment allowance rises, this affects also to the earning-related
allowance. The
allowance consists a basic component (EUR 34,50 per day in 2022), and an earnings-related
component based on a monthly salary.

The earnings-related component is 45 per cent of the
difference between your daily wage and the basic component. If your monthly
salary is more than EUR 3277,50, the earnings-related component is 20 % of the
exceeding amount. This also differs from year 2021 (limit 3209,10 EUR in 2021).

Earnings-related
allowance is also affected by the TYEL deduction (4.34% in 2021). We will
confirm the amount of 2022 Tyel deduction later.
