Government
has proposed to the Parliament of Finland a legislative amendment
concerning standard entitlement and mobility allowance. The temporary
legislative changes made earlier in June to unemployment security will not
expire until the end of December. According to proposal (HE 231 / 2020), these
legislative changes would expire at the end of March.
The
temporary legislative changes are concerning standard entitlement and mobility
allowance. Standard entitlement would continue to be temporarily set to 500
euros per month. This change would be applied to application periods that have
started between 1 of June and 31 of March 2021. Mobility allowance can be
applied for after two hours return commute, if you have started a full-time
job. Concerns employment relationships that have started during 12 of June and
31 of March 2021
Other legislative changes, that are getting extended are: special
adjustment periods and the calculated earned labour income based on
the special periods do not apply, business income can be taken into account
based on the applicant’s own declaration if their income has decreased due
to the coronavirus pandemic and possibility of advance payment.
Some of the temporary legislative amendments to
unemployment security will now remain in force until the end of the year. We will update on our website, when
