Does your part-time work start in the middle of the month?

You can either apply for the whole month or optionally, in two sections: fill the first application until the date when you are fully unemployed (you can send the application on the last unemployment date), e.g. for 1-9 August, and then separately, send the application for the rest of the month, e.g. 10-31 August. In the future, you can apply in a calendar month cycle, unless we give some other advice. In the both options, you can use a printed application form or the changeable continuation application form in Openetti.

Attachments that are needed together with the application:

1. If you apply for the the whole month and have a part-time work.

Please attach a copy of your work contract or other written document where the start date of the employment and the weekly working hours of the part-time work are mentioned. Attach also a copy of your salary slip.
2. If you apply in two sections: first for the time when you are fully unemployed and then for the rest of the month when you have a part-time work.

Please attach a copy of your work contract or other written document where the start date of the employment and the weekly working hours of the part-time work are mentioned. A copy of the document is adequate. Attach also a copy of your salary slip for the working hours that you have had in the end of the month.

Other things to remember

Please remember that if you apply for the adjusted earnings-related allowance, we will always need copies of your salary slips for each month in order to be able to handle your applications. See more information on the adjusted earnings-related allowance and e.g. how to mark working hours on your applications on our website in the section Working part-time.

Always inform on any changes in your working situation also your employment and development office (TE office). Our members who want to apply for adjusted earnings-related allowance have to be registered as a full-time job seeker in the TE office without any interruptions.
