A well-prepared application gets a decision sooner
July is at its busiest, and application processing is running smoothly. When your application includes all the necessary attachments from the start, we can reach a decision even faster.
During week 29 (14–20 July 2025), processing times remained smooth.
Approximately 1,000 applications were processed, and around 600 new applications were received by the fund.
The overall processing pace remains steady: follow-up applications are processed in about two weeks, while first applications take roughly two and a half weeks (status as of 21 July 2025).

Attachments in Order – Here’s How You Can Speed Up Processing
To keep the processing smooth, please remember to attach all the necessary documents to your application right away. A well-prepared application helps us make a decision faster and reduces the need for additional information. If you’re unsure whether to inform us about something special in your situation – it’s almost always a good idea to do so! We’ll check how the information affects your application or guide you forward if needed.
The same applies to one of the most common questions from our applicants:
What should be reported to the employment authority? You can find detailed information on Job Market Finland.(you move to another service)
For example, if you are studying or have business activities, you must report these when you register as a jobseeker or when your situation changes.
What to do?
Many of our applicants will soon need to submit a follow-up application. Read the instructions on our summer pages to find out which period the follow-up application should cover.
